The UK Budget at the end of October delivered clarity for non-domiciled individuals with regards to their tax treatment going forward and confirmed the terms of the new residence-based regime for individuals coming to the UK. The transitional provisions and opportunities in the process of moving from the remittance basis to the arising basis are highly complex and the rules by which individuals, and their wealth holding structures, are exposed to UK Inheritance Tax have been turned on their head.
Jennifer Springett, Head of Wealth Planning at Lombard Odier UK, will moderate a panel discussion with Helena Whitmore, Head of SEB 1856 UK and David Barker, Senior Wealth Planner at Lombard Odier. These experts will discuss the practical aspects of how the Budget announcements will impact on non-domiciled individuals at different stages of their UK residence.
