Growing optimism among Swedish businesses in the UK

This years Global Business Climate Survey proves that optimism is growing among Swedish businesses in the UK. Out of the 22 markets surveyed, the UK has the highest share of Swedish businesses planning to increase investments in the upcoming year, as well as the highest share of businesses in Europe expecting an increased turnover. 

The Global Business Climate Survey 2022 shows strong signs of a growing optimism among Swedish businesses operating abroad, not least in the UK. According to the recently released report, 66% of the Swedish companies in the UK are planning to increase their investments in the coming 12 months. 29% of these are planning to increase investments "significantly", which is more than any other market included in the survey. The UK also has the highest share of Swedish businesses in Europe saying they expect an increase in turnover in the same period of time.

The annual survey is carried out under the lead of Swedish Chambers International, and captures the perspectives of Swedish companies operating worldwide, to reflect their views on economic developments, success factors, local conditions and sustainability challenges. Based on data collected from more than 1,600 employees at Swedish companies in 22markets, the report is a valuable source of knowledge for how to succeed abroad.
