Are you a health- or medtech startup, scaleup or SME looking to learn more about the UK? Do you want to help turn the life science scene more sustainable and grow your business in one of the world’s most forward striving medical markets? The SCC, the Embassy of Sweden in London and the British Embassy Stockholm are proud to present Ecosystem Exchange: Healthtech & Medtech.  

Sweden and the UK is a world leading duo within the area of life sciences, and the bond grew even stronger through the Memorandum of Understanding the two countries signed two years ago. With its ground-breaking research and large investments, the UK offers countless opportunities for businesses looking to expand and explore new markets.  

In a two-day programme, the participating businesses will be introduced to the British ecosystem within health- and medtech, connecting entrepreneurs, stakeholders, investors and industry partners.  

8-12 selected companies will be coached through masterclasses and inspirational speeches, and get the opportunity to meet with important stakeholders in the industry, such as other founders, entrepreneurs and investors – all preparing them to take their business to the next level. Topics to be covered include operational set-up in the UK, the UK marketing and investment landscape, as well as the regulatory environment.  

Last but not least, the companies will partake in a delegation visit to the world-renowned life sciences clusters.  

The programme will:

In this capacity, she has led Visiba as the technology partner of NHS England in a ground-breaking project that introduced AI into the front door of NHS urgent care. Hannah also serves as Director of the Digital Health and Care Alliance, a group established by the UK Government to aid health technology adoption.

Dr Neil Ebenezer has developed a portfolio career. His role at the Department for Business and Trade includes developing and implementing the global strategy for medical technologies and genomics across inward investment and exports. Neil held various posts within the civil service, including; the Department of Health where he contributed to Blood Safety and Genetics policy; was the Head of New and Emerging Technologies at the Medicines & Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA).

He is a Council member of the Anglo Swedish Society and a Trustee of the Swedish Church in London.

She currently serves as Non-Executive Director of Hamlet BioPharma and has also served as a Non-Executive Director of Arquer Diagnostics and Azeria Therapeutics
