Co-Founding Partner, Blume Equity

Michelle has spent 20+ years as a venture capital and private equity investor, partnering with founders and management teams to accelerate value creation. Michelle cares deeply about climate action and thrives on sharing her deep experience scaling companies.

Before co-founding Blume Equity, Michelle was an early-stage climate tech and sustainability investor. She was previously a Partner and Investment Committee member at Mid Europa Partners, investing in high-growth companies in TMT, cleantech and other sectors. She started her career at Merrill Lynch in energy and power investment banking, having graduated from Wharton in the US.

Born and raised in rural Sweden with a stint in Jamaica, Michelle is long-time London-based, where she lives with her French husband and teenage children. Often found in the Nordics, scouting for new investment opportunities and supporting the existing Blume portfolio, Michelle loves skiing, the freedom of being on the sea and spending time in the family’s sustainably managed forest. She is always up for a game of tennis.

Before joining Molten Ventures, George was a founder of an energy-tech start-up. Prior to being an entrepreneur George worked in public market equities at Credit Suisse for 6 years and is a Chartered Financial Analyst. Within Molten Ventures, George works both within our Fund of Funds programme and on direct investments where his primary focus is on climate-tech.

Aude advises financial sponsors and their portfolio companies on acquisition and growth finance, refinancing and covenant amendments. She combines strong technical skills with a problem-solving, creative mindset to craft financing solutions for her clients. Aude has significant experience in leverage finance and asset-based lending transactions.

Over the years, Aude has garnered insight on current market terms and trends. She has built strong relationships with a wide range of lending institutions, including commercial banks, debt funds and asset-based loans providers, which she leverages for her clients. Aude’s broad experience includes transactions in a variety of industries including industrials and engineering, business services, education, consumer products and media and technology.

Prior to joining Lincoln, Aude worked for DC Advisory Partners (formerly Close Brothers Corporate Finance) on mergers and acquisitions and debt advisory transactions in the business services, industrials and media sectors.

Aude earned a Master of Science in management from HEC Paris.

Niclas is a Senior Impact Director focusing on private equity. He has more than 20 years of industry experience within impact and ESG investing, private equity and strategy consulting. Before joining Trill Impact, he was an Associate Partner specialising in Impact and ESG at Steward Requeen.  He has further professional experience as Portfolio Director at Swedfund, Head of ESG and Fund Evaluations at the CDC Group plc, Senior Associate at McKinsey & Co., Senior Consultant  at Hitachi/Celerant Consulting and as Consultant to the World Bank Group.

Niclas holds a M.A. in International economics & International relations from the Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) at Johns Hopkins University.

Managing Director, Deutsche Bank

David Heimer joined Deutsche Bank in 2022, and is based in the bank’s Stockholm branch. He has over 20 years of investment banking experience in London and Stockholm, having previously worked at Perella Weinberg Partners, Merrill Lynch and Akria.  David has an MSc degree from Stockholm School of Economics.

Stuart is the Head of Leveraged Finance at SEB. He was born in England but has been based in Germany for over twenty-five years. During this period his career has focused on LBO-financing across Europe, covering both underwriting and balance sheet lending. He has been with SEB since 2011.

Director and Member of the Genesis Team, HG Capital

Søren is a member of the Genesis team and focuses on investments in software and services, notably ERP software.  He has been involved in Hg’s investments in Dext, Trackunit, Geomatikk, Access Group, IRIS, Visma, Zitcom, Raet and Foundry. Søren sits on the board of Dext and Trackunit.

Søren joined Hg in 2015 with three years of management consulting experience in Kearney in Denmark & Germany, where he worked on a range of strategy projects, primarily for private equity clients.

Søren is from Denmark and has a B.Sc. in International Business and a M.Sc. in Applied Economics and Finance from Copenhagen Business School

Jan Jensen is White & Case's Nordic Head of Private Equity and the Executive Partner of the Stockholm office. In a career spanning 25 years, Jan has led more than 100 Mergermarket credited transactions, including LBOs, public takeovers, rescue investments and restructurings. Jan regularly works across multiple jurisdictions with some of the leading Nordic and European private equity firms and their portfolio companies. Jan holds two law degrees, one from Stockholm University and one from Harvard Law School.

Josefine joined the KKR European Private Equity Team in April 2022 and is based in the Stockholm office. Prior to joining KKR, she was working at Investor AB with their non-listed portfolio of companies at Patricia Industries where she also did a secondment at one of the portfolio companies, Mölnlycke, as an M&A Manager. Prior to that, Josefine was a member of the Nordic Corporate Finance and M&A team at J.P. Morgan in London.

Carl Joined Mutares in late 2020 and launched the Nordic venture. During the last 2.5 years the Nordic team has done more than 12 transactions comprising of 6 platform investments, 3 add-ons and 3 divestments, which net has added about 1bnEUR in sales to Mutares. In 2021 Carl took over responsibility of the UK market as well. 

Previously Carl has spent 12 years with EQT Partners in Stockholm and Singapore and  between 2005-2009 he was active in the Nordic Investment Banking industry.

Elin Ljung

Elin joined Nordic Capital in 2017 and has a broad experience of leading positions in investor relations, sustainability and communication, and has applied this within Private Equity, Financial Services,  IT and Media sectors. Having throughout her career worked almost exclusively to drive sustainable transformation, Elin brought extensive experience from integrating ESG across the full investment cycle and supporting companies in setting the sustainability agenda.  Elin holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Electronics and Media Technology from Umeå university and additional studies in Business Administration.

Gabriel Mellqvist is a Swedish journalist working for Dagens industri. During his twelve year long career at the financial newspaper, he has for instance covered American business and politics as a New York correspondent, as well as worked as a UK Correspondent in London. He has previously anchored the TV-show Börslunch on Stockholm-based broadcaster EFN, Ekonomi- och Finansnyheterna. He has also worked for Reuters and has also co-authored the book United Stockholms of America.

Nicolas Moura is an EMEA private capital research analyst at PitchBook, where he covers the PE and VC markets in Europe. He contributes to quarterly core reports as well as analyst notes on various topics. Prior to PitchBook, Moura worked as an equity research analyst first at Berenberg and then at Mirabaud, transitioning from being a sector analyst into a generalist.

Moura received a bachelor’s degree in economics and business from University College of London (UCL), a master’s degree in finance from Imperial College Business School and is also a CFA charterholder. He is based in PitchBook’s London office.

Helena is an expert in managing corporate reputation and trust, supporting change and business strategy packaging and execution. At Ericsson, she combined the company’s marketing, communications, brand, public affairs and sustainability functions into one holistic team to effectively drive company transformation and thought leadership agendas. Before joining Kekst CNC, she headed Marketing & Corporate Relations at global telecom company Ericsson and was a member of the company’s Executive Team for eight years. She has extensive experience of managing corporate communications in listed companies, including both crisis and financial communications. Before joining Ericsson in 1998, she worked as a communications consultant at JKL (Kekst CNC in Stockholm). She holds a degree in International Business Administration from the University of Linköping, Sweden.

Fredrik Olsson is a Managing Director at J.P. Morgan where he is head of Acquisition and Leveraged Finance for the Nordic region. He is also responsible for Energy and Infrastructure Leveraged financings across Europe.

Mr. Olsson joined J.P. Morgan in 2007. He holds a Master of Science in Engineering and Business from the Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Economics from Stockholm University.

Henrik has followed the European tech sector since the late 90’s. Starting as an equity research analyst for HSBC in 1999, he joined the Swedish investment firm Kinnevik in 2003. Between 2006 and 2014 he was the CIO for Kinnevik, and during that time created an investment portfolio focused on disruptive online businesses that became one of the largest in Europe. In 2015, Henrik founded Sprints together with long term partners Pierre and Filip. 

 

James Yu

Partner and Senior Bank Relationship Manager, EQT

James Yu is a Partner and the Senior Bank Relationship Manager at EQT Partners. He is the global head of EQT Capital Markets Team. James joined EQT Partners in April 2013.

Prior to joining EQT Partners, James was a Managing Director in the Leveraged and Acquisition Finance team at Morgan Stanley in London. Prior to that, he was a Managing Director at JP Morgan. He has 20 years of investment banking experience in London and New York and has worked on a variety of financing and advisory transactions.

James holds a BA in Economics from Trinity College and an MBA in Finance and Marketing from Columbia Business School.
