Elof Hansson Foundation Scholarship

The Elof Hansson Foundation is a long-term supporter of academic education and training in the commercial sector. As of 2021, it supports a young talent from the School of Business, Economics and Law at Gothenburg University to gain international experience through joining the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in London for a 12 month period.

About the foundation

The Elof Hansson Foundation was created in 1985 through a donation by Bo-Elof Hansson. The Elof Hansson company is a global business facilitator for buyers and sellers of pulp, paper and timber. The foundation supports academic education, research and training in the commercial sector. The main focus is on trade and business activities such as marketing, international trade, accounting, commercial law and business language, and it has long standing partnership with Chalmers University of Technology and the School of Business, Economics and Law at the University of Gothenburg.

Eligibility

To apply for the scholarship, you must have recently completed the second year of the bachelor's programme in economics or recently completed your studies at this programme, at the School of Business, Economics and Law in Gothenburg.

Due to visa requirements, applicants must not have turned 26 years of age on or before 1 May 2025.

Duration

The period of duty at the Chamber spans from 6 June 2024 to 19 June 2025.

Applications for the 2025/2026 scholarship are now open. Please submit your application in English, including CV, study credentials and an account of intended career choices as well as the significance of an internship at the Swedish Chamber of Commerce for these future plans.
