Gull & Stellan Ljungberg Foundation Scholarship

Since 2019, Gull & Stellan Ljungberg Foundation is offering a scholarship in partnership with the SCC. The scholarship offers an aspiring student with connection to Uddevalla and Trollhättan, who has recently completed their studies at a bachelor's or master's level at any other Swedish university, the unique opportunity to acquire international experience by joining the Swedish Chamber of Commerce for a period of 12 months. The scholarship is also offered to students enrolled at the School of Business, Economics and Law in Gothenburg, where applicants with connection to the municipalities of Uddevalla and Trollhättan are prioritised.

About the foundation

In memory of Gull and Stellan Ljungberg, a majority of the foundation's return is each year distributed to young students from the municipalities of Uddevalla and Trollhättan. The foundation prioritises applicants who study, participate in exchange semesters, or do fieldwork abroad.

Gull and Stellan ran a leather factory together in Uddevalla during their active years. They both traveled a lot and strived for new knowledge continuously. They made extensive use of both the English and German languages and had a great interest in international business and cultural life. Gull and Stellan donated a part of their fortune to the foundation to enable young students to gain that same international experience they both cherished so much.

Application

The application process for the 2025/2026 scholarships is now closed. However, we welcome spontaneous applications at any time.

This is a general application process — candidates do not apply for a specific scholarship but are matched with the most suitable opportunity as they arise. If you’d like to be considered for future opportunities, please send a cover letter and CV (in English) to Chief Executive Fredrik Warneryd at applications@scc.org.uk. Be sure to include “Scholarship Application – Spontaneous” in the subject line.
